What Ascend keeps about schools and the people in them, where it is kept, and who can see it. Last updated 16 October 2026.
Who we are
Ascend is a school management service made by Naptrix Labs. Write to support@naptrixlabs.com about anything on this page.
Whose data it is
A school's records belong to the school. Ascend holds and processes them for the school, to run the service the school signed up for. We do not sell them, and we do not use them for advertising.
What we keep
- School records the school adds or imports: students, parents and guardians, staff (including bank details for payroll), classes, fees, attendance and documents.
- Sign-in details: each person's name, email and the roles the school gives them. Passwords are held by Google Firebase Authentication, never by Ascend.
- A log of important changes (who changed what, and when) so the school can see its history.
- Demo requests from this website: name, school, town, number of students and mobile number, used only to arrange a demo.
Where it is kept
Records and files are stored with Cloudflare (databases and file storage, in the Asia-Pacific region where available). Sign-in runs on Google Firebase Authentication. Email (welcome and password links) is sent through Zoho Mail from support@naptrixlabs.com.
Who can see it
Inside a school, each person sees only what their role allows: a parent sees their own children, a teacher their own classes. Ascend staff see a school's records only to set it up or to help when the school asks.
Cookies
Ascend sets one cookie when you sign in, to keep you signed in. It is needed for the service to work. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Keeping and deleting
We keep a school's records while it uses Ascend. When a school leaves, we give it a copy of its records on request, then delete them. To see, correct or delete your own details, ask your school, or write to us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and its date.
